On Sunday, a bus carrying pilgrims to the Shiv Khori temple in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district plunged into a deep gorge, resulting in at least 9 deaths and 33 injuries in a suspected terror attack. Bollywood stars took to social media to express their sorrow and pray for the victims of this tragic incident. Riteish Deshmukh was among the first from Bollywood to react. Posting on X, he wrote, “Heartbroken & devastated with the visuals of the Reasi terror attack. Prayers with the victims and families.”

Actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut also shared her thoughts on Instagram Stories, condemning the attack. “I strongly condemn the cowardly terrorist attack on the pilgrims in Reasi, Jammu & Kashmir. They were going for Vaishnodevi Darshan and terrorists open fired them only because they were Hindus. I pray for the departed and hope for the swift recovery of the injured. Om shanti,” she penned.
Anupam Kher expressed his grief and anger on X, stating, “Angry, pained and saddened by the cowardly attack on pilgrims in Reasi, Jammu! May Almighty give the loved ones of victims the strength to bear the pain and loss. Prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured.”

The tragic incident occurred when the bus, traveling through Teryath village in the Poni area, was allegedly fired upon multiple times. The bus driver lost control due to the attack, leading to the fatal plunge into the gorge. Rescue operations were promptly initiated, with the injured rushed to nearby hospitals. Authorities quickly cordoned off the area to conduct a thorough investigation into the attack. Bollywood’s heartfelt reactions underscore the broader national sentiment of grief and condemnation, as the country mourns the victims and prays for the swift recovery of the injured.
